Microsoft Select Licensing
Microsoft Select License is a software volume licensing agreement providing the University with a significant discount on specific software products. Stony Brook University participates in this program via the New York State Microsoft Select and Education Select License Program NYS-OGS contract PT61408.

* When you purchase a 2007 product, you will receive the 2003 version until the 2007 version is available. You are entitled to the free upgrade when 2007 becomes available.
** Windows XP Professional Licenses are no longer available from MS select. When you purchase a Vista Business licenses you will receive a Windows XP Pro upgrade license until the campus certifies MS Vista Business edition. Windows Vista Business is the only version for sale on Microsoft Select at this moment. Once Windows Vista Business edition is certified for the campus we will send out hardware/software recommendations.

Purchase Information
Purchase of any item listed on the HP or OGS web site may be accomplished by completing the appropriate purchase order:

| B. | For departments that have departmental support staff wishing to purchase licenses and install products from the OGS price list can obtain media and license keys for use of a Certified Departmental Support Technician. Please complete the Microsoft License Agreement and the Material & Services Requisition form below. Media for items within our MS Select subscription will be supplied to the purchaser on a locally produced CD, via network, or on a loan basis. | |
