Drop-In Service

All registered students are eligible to drop off their computer/laptops to Client Support for in-house support. An "8 Point Inspection" is completed on all computers that come in for drop-in service.

Terms & Conditions

Students must leave their computer with us while we service it. Computers are worked on a first-come, first-serve basis. No priorities are given. The average turnaround time depends on demand.

All students must read over and agree to these Terms & Conditions of service before we will work on their machine.

Hours of Operation

Drop-In Service is available Mon. - Fri. from 8:30AM - 4:30PM. We are located in the Client Support main office on the fifth floor of the Melville Library, Room S-5410.

Hand Cart Rental

If you have a PC and are having difficulty transporting it to us, we rent out hand carts for free. Students just need to come to the office and leave their Stony Brook ID with us during the rental. We will rent the hand carts out Mon.-Fri. 8:30AM - 3:00PM.
