Remote Pre-Registration Assistance

Client Support offers remote computer assistance for students who need help installing new Windows Updates or anti-virus software before they arrive on campus for the start of a new semester. The latest Windows Updates and a valid anti-virus program are absolutely necessary for students to register their computers on the university network. Students who are off-campus and having trouble administering these updates can call Client Support for remote assistance (631) 632-9800.

Members of the Division of Information Technology will be available to assist students with computer registration on Saturday, Aug. 30, Sunday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 1 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Traditions Lounge located in the Student Activities Center. Students can also bring their computers to the Client Support Student Service Center on the fifth floor of the Melville Library.
