Room Visits

Students can request for an RCC to visit and troubleshoot their computer from within the Residential Halls. Requests are taken and serviced on a first-come first-serve basis and therefore the approximate length of wait varies upon the amount of calls received.

Services Offered

The following services are offered during the room visits:

  • Network Registration / Connectivity issues
  • Virus: Removal / Anti-virus software installation
  • Spyware: Removal / Software installation

Support for Operating Systems must be provided in office through our Drop-In Center due to time constraints. If the issue is going to take >1 hour to resolve, students are required to bring their computers to the Drop-In Center. Those computers taking >1 hour to service need the extra time and support that we can only provide in office.

How to Request Service

Please contact our office via phone at 2-9800 or submit a Help Request to request a room visit. Please provide as much detail as possible about the problem. An RCC will then contact you to schedule an appointment for the room visit.

Terms & Conditions

Students must read over and agree to these Terms & Conditions of Service before our RCCs will work on the students computer.
